We arrived back in the States on April 25th at 7 pm, watching a beautiful sunset over Key West. We were listening to patriotic songs from Lee Greenwood, Dolly Parton and Whitney Houston's national anthem as we got closer to land. What a land!

We made it through the Panama Canal on April 1st and 2nd with no scratches, although we did have some excitement. The McCowns and Mom got some great shots of the Canal website as it captured our up- and down-locking. We'll post as much as we can about it all! Now that we're back on land, I'll make it a high priority to start updating our site with all our goings-on since El Salvador. We have so much to report!

Dad was with us for the Canal Transit as well as our passages up to Cancun. Then Jeff (brother-in-law) joined the three of us for the last passage into the States. Dad caught a chest cold somewhere between Panama and Mexico and decided he should jump ship in Key West so he could get to the doctor sooner rather than later. So Dad and I drove on April 26th to Camp McCown's, while Jeff and Abe are sailing from Key West to Ft. Pierce. And having a ball, I might add.

No new journal stuff since March. Links to the most recent: February and March, and photos.

Having trouble with our links to other websites? We've created a general information page that will hopefully answer questions on issues you may be finding or how to navigate.

Send emails to us if you have any questions, suggestions or find broken links (we try to catch them all, but don't always).

Look closely in the bottom, left corner of the photo. That white stick you see at the very edge of the photo is Eleytheria's mast. We're in the Miraflores Locks, tied to a ferry ship and power boat behind this large container ship transporting blue buses. This photo is courtesy the McCowns who spent most of the day in their home theater, logged onto the internet watching the Canal's cameras for an Eleytheria sighting. We're not sure if they had more fun or us!!! We have loads of photos and information about this incredibly exciting adventure. We'll post it all.
