- We've created many of our external links to open a new browser window
when you click on them. Our publishing software requires that we use
javascript for this. You may notice that you get an error message in
the bottom left corner of your browser screen saying that the entire
page didn't load. If you have pop-up blockers turned on, the javascripts
won't load. In order to get the javascript to work, you may have to
reload the page and allow javascript.
- We've had reports that the compass rose is acting funny. It will get
big and then immediately disappear. Abe and I have only been able to
recreate this in browsers other than Internet Explorer. We test only
the site using IE version 6.0 and so don't know how it looks using Netscape
or Mozilla, etc. We have noticed that Opera does have problems with
the java scripts. One day we'll get around to looking into other browsers.
But for now, we recommend using the latest version of IE.
- We've tried to include pictures with the journal entries at the time
of journal posting, but we're not always that together. The pictures
that are in the Photo Album are, for the most part, different pictures
than those you will find in the journal. Due to ease of getting the
photos up, I like to wait to do one entire album at a time, and that
means waiting until I have enough to publish a decent-sized album. The
journal photos will have to hold you in between the new albums going
up.
- You can navigate the site using the compass rose for our major pages,
or use the links at the bottom of each page. When updating the Latest
News page, we try to include links to what we've updated to make it
quick to find what's new. These will obviously change each time we update,
but you can still find all the historical info.
- We try to update every 2 weeks with something new. It's not always
possible, but we try. Not sure that we'll be able to as internet cafes
become more and more infrequent. That's the goal, though.
