(e-lef-tha-ri-a)* n.
1. Greek for freedom, the state or condition of being free; especially,
the condition of enjoying civil liberty. 2. The condition of being personally
free; liberty from bondage or slavery. 3. A quadrennial festival kept
by the Greeks after the battle of Plataea in honor of Zeus in his aspect
of Eleutherios (the Deliverer). 4. Amy and Abe's home and sailboat that
embarked upon a world cruise September 6, 2004.
